Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Traxpense Flow ("the Service"), available at traxpense.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Traxpense Flow. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not create an account or use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Traxpense Flow is a personal finance tracking tool that allows you to manually record income and expenses, manage budget goals, and view financial summaries. The Service includes optional tax withholding estimates based on a user-configured rate.

• Traxpense Flow is a tracking and organisational tool — it is NOT a bank, financial institution, or regulated financial service.
• We are NOT a financial advisor, tax advisor, accountant, or investment advisor.
• Any tax calculations shown in the app are estimates only, based solely on the rate you enter. They do not account for your full tax situation, deductions, credits, or applicable laws.
• We do NOT provide investment advice of any kind.
• We do NOT connect to your bank accounts or financial institutions.

4. User Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to register. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Traxpense Flow. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
• Each account is for a single individual. Account sharing is not permitted.
• You must notify us immediately at support@traxpense.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow third parties to use your account.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to store or process data on behalf of third parties for commercial purposes without our express written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use provisions.

6. Data Ownership

You own all data you enter into Traxpense Flow. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your financial entries, transaction descriptions, or budget data.

• You can export all your transaction data as a CSV file at any time.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
• We do not use your financial data for any purpose other than providing and improving the Service for you.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability and reliability of Traxpense Flow, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. From time to time, the Service may be unavailable due to planned maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control.

• We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance where possible.
• We use automated backups and redundant infrastructure to minimise the risk of data loss.
• We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or opportunity caused by service interruptions.

8. Payment Terms

Traxpense Flow offers both a free tier and a paid Pro subscription (when available):

• Free tier: Available to all users at no cost, with the features stated on the pricing page.
• Pro subscriptions: Billed monthly or annually in advance. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled.
• Lifetime deals: One-time payments that grant lifetime access to Pro features as defined at the time of purchase.
• Refund policy: Pro subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase. Renewal charges are non-refundable. Lifetime deals are non-refundable after 30 days.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until the next billing cycle.
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your payment card details.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Traxpense Flow and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.

10. Termination

• You may close your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.
• Upon termination for any reason, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, disclaimers, and data ownership) will continue to apply.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
